Rockville’s TERRIFIC students in first through fifth grade can earn a free bicycle by performing good deeds.
To show they are TERRIFIC – Trustworthy, Earnest, Respectful, Responsible, Involved, Fair, Industrious and Caring – Rockville’s young residents must do six good deeds. They can volunteer with a charity, pick up litter or help a sick or elderly person, among other ideas.
Besides receiving a bike, students will be recognized by Mayor Monique Ashton and county councilmembers.
Participants must preregister by Feb. 14 by going to the city’s website or calling 240-314-8620. Selected participants will be emailed information by March 1 detailing how to track and submit their good deeds.
Rockville City is seeking bikes to donate. For information, email info@rockvillebikehub.org or visit www.rockvillebikehub.org.
